The $AU282,000 Aston Martin that was to be James Bond's car in the latest film about the secret agent spectacularly crashed into Italy's Lake Garda. Amazingly, Fraser Dunn, the technician who was transporting the vehicle when he lost control, went through an iron guard rail and into the lake, suffered only minor injuries. Not so lucky for the car. According to producers, the driver lost control in heavy rain on a narrow bend. Mr Dunn was driving one of five DBSs to the set of the movie which had just begun shooting at this location.

The latest film in the Bond series starring Daniel Craig, Quantum of Solace, is due for release later this year. The movie has so far been filmed on location in England, Panama, Chile and Mexico, with a further trip to Spain still coming up. Onlookers might have been forgiven for thinking it was all part of the filming of the movie,
Ironically, the car was due to take part in a scene where Daniel Craig roars away from the scene of a fireball crash with a truck ending up in the water.
Quantum Of Solace's opening sequence is set five minutes after the end of Craig's first Bond outing in Casino Royale.
The girlfriend of the driver, Rachel Andrews was quoted as saying, "He is OK. But he is certainly not a stuntman – he is an engineer". I think he is one lucky man and can I just say ouch!
I have vague recollections of my parents taking us to Disney movies at the drive-in when I was a kid but I remember the experience not the movies. I remember the speakers hanging on the windows of the cars (crap I just gave away my age) and watching them in my PJs and I may have no recollection of the movies we watched but I remember it was always fun and a huge treat. I do however remember the first movie I saw at the cinema without my parents, it was Live and Let Die.
It had a very cool theme song by Paul McCartney, a memorable scene with snakes and a plot I doubt I followed.. I must have gone with one of my older brothers because I can’t imagine my parents thinking that James Bond chasing drug dealers was suitable material for a small child but I loved the action and adventure of it. I didn’t have very discerning taste back then. Sorry to Bond fans but I really don’t like them at all – except for the new Casino Royale, Daniel Craig and Sean Connery were the only two decent Bonds
Have you ever walked out of a movie and if so what prompted your departure – abysmal script, dreadful acting, too violent, too dull? And I’m not talking turning off the DVD player, I mean walking out of the cinema.
I have only ever walked out of two movies but have spent many wasted hours sitting through a movie I hated, that is so bad for whatever reason, arguing with the voices in my head that I should leave but they keep coming back to the stock standard, “bloody hell, I just paid $15 to see it, surely it will get better!” – but it doesn’t
