There are so many people that seem to have doppelgangers out there and I've assembled a few from the entertainment world that I think bear an uncanny resemblance to each other. Some, like Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel are so alike they could pass as twins where others could pass for being related. What do you think?

Mark David Chapman, imprisoned in 1981 for murdering former Beatle John Lennon outside his Manhattan apartment in December 1980, has been denied parole for a fifth time.
On Tuesday the New York State Division of Parole said in a statement that the 53-year-old's request for parole was denied "due to concern for the public safety and welfare." Chapman is serving a sentence of 20 years to life for shooting and killing Lennon as he and his wife, Yoko Ono, arrived at their apartment building on December 8, 1980.
Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has repeatedly opposed his release and recommended he remain behind bars for the rest of his life. Ono was not immediately available for comment on Chapman's parole denial.
In 1990 he expressed remorse for the murder and his disciplinary record had been clean since October 1994, but board members noted that during his parole interview, he stated that he planned and executed "the premeditated slaying of John Lennon with an essentially clear mind.” The board said he still had the same desire for "fame and notoriety" that led to the murder.
"Your conduct thus precipitated a horrendously tragic event which has impacted many individuals," the board said. "Your discretionary release at this time would thus not be compatible with the welfare of society at large, and would tend to deprecate the seriousness of the instant offense, and undermine respect for the law."
Heather Groll, spokeswoman for the New York State Division of Parole, said the board received a petition with about 1,100 signatures and about 50 letters opposing Chapman's release and three letters supporting his release.
Chapman is serving his time in Attica maximum security prison in New York state, where has been separated from other prisoners because of concerns for his safety. He was also denied parole in 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006. He may apply for parole again in 2010.
Erik Kriss, spokesman for the New York State Department of Correctional Services, told Reuters that Chapman was being held in a special isolated housing unit away from the general prison population because of fears for his safety.
Chapman has a certificate in legal research and helps other inmates with research in a small law library separate from the main prison library, Kriss said. He also works as a porter and cleans some administrative areas.
Kriss said Chapman has also been part of the prison's "family reunion" program, which has allowed him conjugal visits with his wife for the past 16 years.

If you are a fan of Joss Whedon’s Firefly and Serenity and you live in Sydney or Melbourne, you’re in luck. The HUB Productions is presenting a Serenity convention this weekend Saturday 10th May in Sydney and Sunday 11th May in Melbourne from 9.00am to 6.00pm both days.
Since leaving Buffy, Sarah’s career has continued to be quite varied. She has provided voice-overs on The Simpsons, fellow Buffy regular Seth Green’s animated series Robot Chicken, the long-delayed Happily N'Ever After, providing the voice of Cinderella and the CG Animation TMNT. Gellar reprised her role of Daphne in the Scooby Doo sequel and went on to scare the pants off us in the American remake of the Japanese horror film Ju-On: The Grudge - known just as The Grudge for the Western audience - and had a cameo performance in its follow up, the oh so cleverly named The Grudge 2. Another horror/thriller which wasn’t quite as successful was The Return
The $AU282,000 Aston Martin that was to be James Bond's car in the latest film about the secret agent spectacularly crashed into Italy's Lake Garda. Amazingly, Fraser Dunn, the technician who was transporting the vehicle when he lost control, went through an iron guard rail and into the lake, suffered only minor injuries. Not so lucky for the car. According to producers, the driver lost control in heavy rain on a narrow bend. Mr Dunn was driving one of five DBSs to the set of the movie which had just begun shooting at this location.
In true celebrity spirit, Cate Blanchett and her husband Andrew Upton have chosen an unusual baby name. Ignatius is in fact a very old name of Latin origin but I was very amused to find on a baby name origin site it was rated under saints and pirate names! Now I knew about Saint Ignatius but I can’t say I’ve ever heard of Ignatius the Pirate. But while we often raise our eyebrows at the names celebrities inflict upon their children as I poked fun at in my previous post, do we know the real names of many celebrities?
Many stars have dropped part of their name when climbing their way to fame but seems to be a music thing rather than the acting profession like Madonna (Ciccone), Beyonce (Knowles), Prince (Nelson) – who also changed his name to a ridiculous symbol and then became The Artist formerly Known as Prince but is now just Prince again (?!), Bjork (Guðmundsdóttir) and Shakira (Ripoll
Why oh why is it that celebrities think it is cool to saddle their children with the most ridiculous names? Do they think being the child of a star is enough to stop the taunts? Do they send their children to school with bodyguards? Not to mention the thought that all of these kids must have had at some stage – that their parents must really hate them.
These, in my opinion, are among the silliest and are in no particular order. Now you may disagree and think they are cool and at least they aren’t boring. Give me boring any old day
Because this was a long post I have broken it into two parts. This is following on from Child Actors - The Waste and the Wasted Part 1 about the tragic twists that have happened in the lives of some child actors who never seemed to cope with the pressures of finding fame at such a tender age. It is always sad to hear of people succumbing to drugs alcohol and suicide but it is made doubly tragic by these kids who were given such adulation and how hard it must be to adjust if that stops. Plus, many of these kids had access to drug and alcohol fueled parties long before they should have.
Jonathan Brandis first came to fame in the starring role in Neverending Story II: The Next Chapter in 1990 at the age of fourteen and in the sci-fi series Seaquest DSV. Jonathan committed suicide in November 2003. He was just 27
These are just a few of the names you may remember from their childhood acting careers whose lives took a huge downward spiral, some of whom didn’t just lose their careers but their lives. Some went off the rails and are successfully turning their lives around. Some never seemed to stray from their paths. I’m not sure how much of this is because of parental or family influence or that maybe some are just luckier and more resilient than others. Here are a few examples of the seedier side of child fame.
The two Coreys, Haim and Feldman starred in many popular and successful movies both individually and together. They had major comedic chemistry together and became the highest paid child actors of the 80s. Of the two I have to say that I think Feldman was by far the most talented with his stand out roles in Stand By Me and The Goonies but I loved them both in The Lost Boys, one of my favourite movies of the 80s. Corey Haim fans, don’t shoot me for this it’s just a personal preference
